Constitution
TITLE
The name of the club shall be Grupa 303 Polish Paragliding Club in the UK. Hereinafter called ‘The Club’ and ‘Grupa 303’.
PURPOSE
The purpose of The Club shall be to:
MEMBERSHIP DEFINITIONS
Membership shall be open to all current members of the BHPA. The committee have the right to refuse to admit any person as a member without giving reasons for such refusal.
The Club shall consist of Members who shall be bound by the Constitution of The Club.
The form and privileges of membership shall be at the sole discretion of the Committee, who may from time to time divide the membership into different classes and attach special designation, restrictions or privileges to each class.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
On becoming members of the Grupa 303, members agree:
No person under the age of eighteen years shall be a member of The Club unless his/her parent or guardian shall have signed a consent approving his/her application for membership and accepting all legal responsibility for the member.
Payment of subscription by a member shall be deemed to be acceptance of, acquiescence in and submission to Club’s Constitution and Club rules.
Any breach of these requirements could result in termination of membership. Any such issues will be determined by the committee and formally communicated to the member concerned.
If membership is terminated, the member concerned has the right to appeal the decision within 28 days to the committee and should do so in writing (email will suffice). The appeal will be heard at the next committee meeting and the decision of the appeal will be communicated to the member within 7 days of the meeting.
COMMITTEE
The membership shall elect a committee formed from the membership at an Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) The purpose of the committee is to manage the affairs of the Grupa 303 in a voluntary capacity. Decisions of the committee may be made either in a meeting format or by use of the on-line forum or other facilities.
Committee meetings are to be held at least once every twelve months. Other members may attend and take part in discussions but have no voting rights.
The committee shall consist of at least 4 members consisting of Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and Safety Officer. The duration of office will be from one AGM to the next.
In order for decisions to be made by committee, a quorum of 60% is required.
Potential committee members must declare any financial interest connected with Paragliding to the membership or if such an interest occurs during office, to the committee.
If a committee member does not attend for 2 consecutive meetings or participate in 2 online consecutive committee forum decisions, then consideration must be given by the committee to removing them from office.
Each committee member is entitled to form sub-committees from volunteering members on either a permanent or temporary basis to assist them in carrying out their tasks. Each committee member has power to delegate part of their powers to an elected member to assist in a specific task. This must be agreed by the committee. The elected member will not form part of the committee
FLYING UK SITES
When flying any of the UK sites each member of Grupa 303 shall abide rules set by local Clubs and is solely responsible for finding out what the rules are. Grupa 303 pilots shall pay whatever fees have been decided and published by the local Clubs
‘Grupa 303 Polish Paragliding Club in the UK’ pilots must be members of the BHPA. Pilots should be prepared to produce evidence of this if requested by an officer of local Club. Any breach of these requirements could result in a pilot being refused admittance to a site or being asked to leave.
ACOUNTS
Grupa 303 funds are to be kept by Grupa 303 Treasurer, which is required to produce an annual statement of account for circulation at the AGM. Accounts are to be audited annually by a person nominated by the committee.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
An Annual General Meeting shall be held at least once each year. At least 14 days notice of the meeting will be given to members.
An Extraordinary General Meeting may be called by a minimum of ten Members or two Committee Members and a minimum of ten days written notice shall be given by the Secretary.
The Chairman shall take the chair at all Committee and General Meetings. In his absence those present shall appoint a Chairman for the meeting.
In the event of an equality of voting at any meeting, the Chairman shall be entitled to a second casting vote.
The Secretary will ensure that the Minutes of the proceedings of each meeting are recorded.
POWER TO LEGISLATE
The committee have the power to legislate on any point not provided for in this constitution.
